NFC certificates in short

What is the difference between a COA and a COO?

The COA (Certificate Of Authenticity) is available for Memorabid Auctions, marked in gold, and guarantees the item's authenticity and that it matches the auction. The COO (Certificate of Origin) is available for Marketplace Auctions, marked in blue, and certifies that the item was bought at an auction on Memorabid.

How much do the certificates cost?

At checkout the COA costs €25 and the COO €19.

How do I read the NFC tag?

Hold an NFC-enabled smartphone near the tag on the paper certificate or inside the item: the digital version of the certificate opens, with all the product's images and description.

Can I add a certificate after buying?

Yes. If you bought on Memorabid and did not take the certificate at the time, you can request it from the certificates, boxes and cases page.

My item was not bought on Memorabid. Can I have it assessed?

Yes, with the QuickOpinion. If the opinion is positive, you can request the certificate of authenticity.

What is MemoraPhygital?

It is the add-on package that turns your memorabilia into a phygital asset: an NFC chip on the item, a certificate of authenticity registered on blockchain and a linked NFT, its Web3 counterpart.

Who can buy it?

Every winner of our auctions, during checkout. The Phygital package is also available on the certificates, boxes and cases page.

Do I need to know about Web3 or crypto?

No. The Memorabid team guides you through every step. To open the e-wallet you just connect an email or a social account.

What is recorded on the blockchain?

The digital certificate of authenticity with the item's details, description, technical features and sporting history. The sale and every future change of ownership are mapped on the blockchain too.

How do I claim the NFT?
