A match-worn shirt is not a replica: it has been through a dressing room, taken rain, tackles and sweat. Collectors recognise it by the details: name and number applied for that competition, patches, inner labels, signs of wear.

A signature is worth as much as the proof that comes with it. A photo or video of the athlete signing that very item is the most direct guarantee, because a certificate on its own is not always enough.
